There are 2 days left of 2010, do you make "New Years Resolutions"? Every year, I seem to make the same resolution over and over. I never seem to follow through.
This year my resolutions are (and I plan on keeping all of them)
1. Lose the remaining 70 pounds that I have to lose. Ive lost 60 so far, but Im ready to get the rest off too!
2. Keep our blog current! I want our distant family to be able to keep up with us!
3. Save money! This year will consist of alot of coupon cutting and budgeting!
I think 3 resolutions are enough to keep me busy this year! We hope that you keep up with us this year!
Love,
S&S

Halloween and Cookie Baking
Happy Halloween...
Its so hard to believe that its already the end of October. Where has this year gone?
Im definitely excited to see my favorite "trick or treater" tonight. Riley could wear anything, and be the cutest thing you have ever seen. She loves her "cocoa". I think her mommy is in for a long evening.
Speaking of sweets...
Even before I had weight loss surgery, I have always been a sucker for sweets. Well, now 7 months post op, chocolate definitely goes down easier than the stuff Im supposed to be eating...you know, like chicken, tuna...etc!
One of my BFFs, Lauren, had a subsciption of FITNESS magazine sent to me. Thank you, Lauren! I love it. So today as I was flipping through all of the nice stretches, toning exercises, and tiring aerobic exercises....There they were.....FIT, yes I said FIT, Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. Not only are they healthy...shhh! They are my husbands favorite. So when my sweet husband wakes up today (poor guy worked last night), shes in for a sweet suprise! I had to make a few minor substitutions to the recipe to accomodate what I had in the house. Once I put the recipe into sparkpeople, and accounted for the number of servings the recipe made, here are the stats..
Calories: 104.1
Fat: 0.7g
Carbs: 27g
Sugars 18.3g
Protein 1.9g
I would say having one wont hurt me!
So I guess after tonight, the focus shifts to Thanksgiving. Its going to be another hard "first" without Cameron here. We will be spending Thanksgiving with our loving and supportive family in Oklahoma. Only 26 more days until we hit the road!

Spring Time!
Well, its Spring!!!
You wouldnt have known it a few weeks ago, since it snowed on the first day of Spring. Texas weather will throw you for a loop, but overall, the last few days have been beautiful.
Since I had surgery, I really havent enjoyed it much, but I am going to! I have set a major goal for myself...Im going to train for a 5K. The couch to 5k trainer is downloaded on my iPhone, now I just have to get out there and do it.
Will I be able to run 3.1 miles? Can I be ready in 9 weeks?
This is pretty important to me.....next to losing this weight!
Stay tuned, Im sure you will hear all about it!
