My new ADDICTION...Couponing

Well every since we got married, we always look for ways to save a little money. Cutting back seems like the best option, but couponing is the best kept secret.

Im learning from Lauren...

Ive visited and researched lots of websites.....

So, today, I went out on my first official couponing adventure.

I went to Target, and heres what I got

12 cans of Del Monte Vegetables

Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes

2 Coffee Mate Creamers

2 Ronzoni Pasta

4 Steaz Organic Tea

1 tub of I cant believe its not butter

1 box of triscuits

I made 2 separate purchases to get all of it. Basically I bought everything twice.

So the first purchase, before coupons totaled 17.31. After coupons, I paid $6.08.

The 2nd transaction, before coupons totaled 14.51. After coupons, I paid $4.28

The cashier then realized that she missed 2 of my coupons, so she gave me $2.00 in cash for those.

So in all...the entire purchase was $31.82 - and I paid ......Drumroll please..................$8.36 for EVERYTHING!

On another note...Christmas feels like it has officially begun!

The lights are on the house, and the tree is up.

Remember Me??

Hey there...Remember Me?

Its been a while since I last posted. Here are the things that have changed since my last post almost 3 months ago:

1. Steven and I got engaged.
2. We decided NOT to have a big wedding (so that I can finish school)
3. We have made alternate plans so that my Daddy can walk me down the aisle
4. I started aerobics classes at the hospital 3 times a week.
5. I ordered and started Nutrisystem

The last 2 numbers are to improve my appearance, health, and to prepare us for the next stage in life....hopefully a pregnancy.

Im so blessed to have found Steven. He is my best friend. We have a great time together...our lives should be very interesting for the next 70 or so years!

Happy Birthday, Riley!

Riley turned ONE on April 17th. Shes growing up so fast. Her mom and her Grandparents had a birthday party for her today. Here are some pictures of the Birthday Princess!

Finally....a picture of the house!

Moving Day...just around the corner.

If all goes well, this is the last weekend that we will be spending in our current place. Time has flown, and now we have a gorgeous new house that just waits for a couple of signatures and a little money exchange.

We did the walk through on the house this past Thursday. It took us almost 2 1/2 hours, but I think that we were both comfortable that we had noticed all of the imperfections and mistakes. Now that the house is covered in blue tape pieces, we wait for the builder to repair. The superintendent of the construction said that he would have everything done by Thursday of this week if all goes well. What does that mean for us?? If they do indeed finish by Thursday, we will do our FINAL walkthrough, then head over to the closing. At that time we should take possession of our beautiful new home.

We have plans to move this next weekend. Thanks to everyone that has volunteered to help us move!

The Time Just Gets Away From ME!

Ok Ok...So Im a little late posting, maybe really late. Its been 3 weeks since I did...time flies when you are having fun.

Mondays!! Thats all I can say. I am sunburned on one side of my body from the Nascar race yesterday. Danielle and I went and had a great time. Somehow when I get the tickets, my luck has us sitting by pretty interesting people. I mean every set of tickets I buy....I definitely wont play the lottery!

Our house is nearing completion. Steven and I are very excited to finally get everything moved and get settled in. Its hard to prepare for a big move, especially when our schedules are so different. We really only see each other for a few hours a day. Some days we only see each other in passing. I guess the old say "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" is very true in our case.

I promise not to go another 3 weeks without posting. I will have great pictures as we move, get settled and decorate!!

I love my life...

So many things are going on right now. I know we arent married yet, but buying a house together is as close as you can get without all of the legal stuff.

Tomorrow is the day that we negotiate everything, sign the contract, and all of that other fun stuff.

I will post pictures tomorrow. We need to get some pictures in the daylight!

Been awhile since my last post..

Alot has changed since the last time I posted! I finally quit my second job, and who would have thought that the feeling I have of being FREE would be so overwhelming. I mean, Ive been doing that job for 7 years. Its definitely been a big part of my life, but now that I have Steven, I dont have time.



I finally moved the rest of my things from my parents house. I didnt realize how much "stuff" I have. Im trying to find places to put it all, but since Steven lived alone for so long...well, you get the picture.



Im enjoying everyday with him....I just cant believe how happy I am.



I promise not to go so long without posting. Now that I have more time to spend with Steven and Kris, I will definitely have more to talk about!

Ive been going on and on about all of the little projects that ive done this weekend.

First of all....Happy 1st Birthday Miss Ansley (March 5th).

Here is a picture of the Cupcake Lollipops! I got the recipe from Bakerella's Blog. They are yummy, yet rich. I shared one with Steven.

I also got a recipe for a Peanut Butter and Chocolate Ribbon Pie. It kinda reminds me of a very smooth Peanut Butter Cheesecake. My testers agree...they love it!

Thanks Mom and Dad!! The only two people in this world that allow themselves to be my guinea pigs whenever I need one!

Well, I only had a few minutes to post....its almost 6, and its Sunday...Time to take Kris home!

More and more pictures are being sent to us from Brian and Christy's (Steven's Brother and New Sister in Law) Wedding.





Im still sad that all of my pictures got deleted off of my camera (we had some really cute ones). I think this picture has to be my favorite so far....

Kids are so honest, even in their facial expressions. Kris loved the tux, but not standing up in front of the church for a Catholic Wedding - Im sure you know what that means!

Cant get ENOUGH!

Ok, I think that I finally have found the design that I like for our blog. Im so excited to get to share what we have been up to with y'all.

Today has actually been full of decisions. Thanks to Mr. Andrew, Ill be getting a new subscription to Southern Living. I think that Im already overwhelming Steven with my decorating.
